F.lli Fontolan A., is run by Transport Lines s.n.c. The company was founded in 1892 as "Pescante Marco & C." hire services, using local rowing boats to carry goods from 10 tons up to 120 tons.

At the beginning of the last century the company was renamed F.Ili Fontolan Trasporti.
In the 1940s the first outboard engines were used for vessels transporting goods by river from Padova and Treviso to the historic centre of Venice.

In the 50s and 60s the company acquired a series of tugs and also helped build the oil pipeline connecting the refineries of Marghera with the Isola dei Petroli.

Since 1970 the company has carried out transport services and a number of other activities, including:
- the hire of pontoon bridges for the loading of vehicles and machinery
- crane hire
- anchoring systems
- shipping
- exceptional loads.

In 1995 the company was acquired by Transport Lines snc di Gabriele Fontolan, the fourth generation of the family.

The company has 5 vessels of 7-30 tons, 3 as licensed tugs and 2 with cranes and pontoon bridges for the loading of goods (22 x 7 m.)
